Our Baritone, David Rose
I did not grow up in a Christian home.  But as a senior in high school I was introduced to Jesus.  I
received Christ while attending a church service with the girl I wanted to date (the only reason I
attended was that her parents required that her dates attend church).  Shortly after graduation I
married and ten years later was called by God to preach the gospel.  Then my family and I moved
to Missouri to attend Baptist Bible College (with a wife and 4 children).  My first experience of
singing in a quartet was in college.  Before and after graduation I helped establish and pastor several
churches over the next 13 years.  I’ve been involved in ministry as pastor, music and education
director, Sunday school teacher, and gospel singer ever since.  I sang with the original
as lead singer for many years.  I then joined "Gold Rush Quartet" as baritone singer for
many years.  I have been involved in Gospel ministry in several areas for most of my adult life.

It’s my joy and privilege to sing about my Savior the Lord Jesus.  It would be correct to say that I
was on that “broad road” and that Jesus has changed my life completely.  My wife Judy and I have
seven grown children, 17 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.  I would have never dreamed
that my life would unfold as it has and I am so blessed to be a part of what the Lord has done and
is still doing.  I claimed a verse of Scripture as a very young Christian that has served me well in my
life and I would only hope that it would do the same for any and all who will read and trust in it…..

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths”.
